Gravatar Chanel had some colors grouped as "LesCormandels" or something like that. There was an eyeshadow palette with deep colors, but they brushed on as transparents. A glittery brown, sort of matte pink, and a gorgeous purple that really looked like a wash when it was on. But my very favorite was their red blush from the same line. It too looked bright, but when on the face had the look of a real, natural blush - I loved the red tone.

Also loved the Ralph Lauren line of lip pencils. I don't remember what the color was, but like yours, it was a pinky tone that perfectly matched my color. I loved it with gloss or lip tints over it.

Gravatar Three from St. Ives:

-their chocolate body wash/body scrub;

-their wonderful Sunflower and Silk lotion; and

-their minty deep hair conditioner in the red packaging.

Gravatar And oh, I forgot one, one that I miss most of all:

the cucumber and elastin eye gel...a true miracle worker.

Gravatar MAC Haze eyeshadow from the mid 90s a beautiful duo chrome (before they had such a thing) of purple and green. I just found one on Makeup Alley and I am going to send it to 3CC in NYC to duplicate for me. I loved it that much

Gravatar Revlon Streetwear cream shadow in Doodles. It's a lovely champagne color with just enough shimmer that I wear it all the time. Granted, Streetwear was really popular when I was in high school (10 years ago), so I search eBay for it. The last time I lucked out was about 5 years ago and I'm on the same pot, so chances of me finding it are getting slimmer and slimmer! There's a Nars cream shadow along the same lines that I like but it's not the same...

Gravatar benefit cheekies--i love the little tube of color and used it for everything. they dont carry them anymore but sometimes you can find them online.

Gravatar (Delurking)I promise, I kept this list down to my favorites. The full list is over twice as long.

You hit a sore spot with me. What, bitter? Me? Why, no, not at all.

Gravatar John Frieda Sea Salt Wave Spray....how I long for you!

Gravatar I'm a limited edition fiend, so practically all of my stash is LE. Sigh! I am so mad that Smashbox is discontinuing their Skin Tints (their version of the NARS Multiple). WHY. WHY, SMASHBOX, WHY.

But Badger Balm lip balm in Rose Chai was discontinued shortly after I fell in love with it... I will be so, so sad when mine is gone.

Gravatar Karhill, I swapped for a bottle of Wyatt Earple Purple. I "paid" through the nose for it, but it was worth it. I love it.

I miss Clinique's shadow sticks that were around in the late 90s. There was one that was like rock purple or something that was an amazing smokey eye.

I also miss a B&BW lipstick from that time. Cherry flavored and it had some kind of moisturizing core. So pretty, too -- a nice brownish rose color I haven't been able to find since.

Gravatar I miss Victoria's Secret Dream Angels Halo perfume. I guess I was the only person that liked it.

Gravatar Lancome Lip Brio in Rose-something. When I found out that it was discontinued I first had a panic attack and then went on a 3-weekends long expedition around all the Lancome counters in Greater London (especially provincial ones) to see if they had any leftovers (they did but not in this colour), then I wept for 3 days. I know a bit dramatic but it ’s been over 6 years now and I still haven’t found the dupe. Then there was Dior mascara (can’t remember the name) which was lush and now gone. Another one is Bliss body butter in Spahling but the mourning wasn’t that bad. Since that Lip Brio experience I tend to hoard and shy away from LE products.

Gravatar sam, I think the Clinique shadow stick was called Rock Violet, and I miss it, too! Really brought out the green in my hazel eyes...

Gravatar Oh, and I almost forgot, I loved a scent from B&BW called Garden Mint. I stocked up at a flea market, of all places, on the glycerin soaps, but loved and miss the body lotion tons! It was a great, light summer scent and always got lots of compliments from the men in my life

Gravatar MAC 2N...the perfect pink nude lip. I have scoured the country for a tube, but have not ad any luck. And I miss when the Chanel Toner was a gel instead of a liquid. RIP

Gravatar I would sell my soul for a few jars of Benefit's Seven Percent. It was a fabulous cream mask containing glycolic acid that left my skin smooth like nothing before or since. I used a little at bedtime most nights instead of the heavier "mask" application. It was recommended to me by a friend and I often recommended it to others, who loved it too.

Gravatar First off - Karhill - go here!! http://www.colorandflavorshop.co...home.php? cat=48

I will never get over Maybelline Magic Mascara. Curved brush AND waterproof, something that they've apparently passed a law against in the subsequent years. It went on great, it curled my lashes, it stayed on, I didn't have to think about it. When it went away (actually they made it non-waterproof first), I went into the horrible consuming swirling spiral of trying to find a mascara that didn't suck, before finding Chanel Inimitable. I like it, but I still wish the brush was curved, and the price sticks in my craw.

Damn you, Maybelline. Damn you all to hell.

Gravatar This is why I now refuse to buy limited edition products. I fall in love, and then you got back to get it and it's gone!
Off the top of my head, I miss MAC's little paint tubes for the cheeks & Kors by Michael Kors - the really deep, gorgeous scent with port wine & tobacco, not that flowery business.

Gravatar you should check out Laura Mercier's eye colour pot in solid gold. it is a GORGEOUS gold color, and it comes with a cream shadow and a powder. it might be an adequate replacement for your lost loves!

Gravatar I agree with you Tarra, 2N is the perfect nude lip color... but it's so richly pigmented even though it's pale that you need only the lightest coat on your lips. MAC is re-promoting some of the N collection products in the fall, I don't know if they're going to re-release 2N though. I would recommend asking around on Make-up Alley or Specktra net for dupes. Also, some MAC counters are more popular than others, & certain products sell better in certain regions. My MAC counter *still* has tons of Fafi & Heatherette (not the lippies I wanted though, boo). There's always MUA swaps...

Gravatar I miss Stila eyeshadow in Java. I just realized that they're not making it anymore (at least I can't find it anywhere) and it was great for wetting and using as liner. Very sad. I am using a dark brown MAC eyeshadow that came in a palette as a substitute.

Gravatar back when urban decay made lipsticks they had a great muted mauve-y red. I can't remember the name now.

The Body Shop had a fragrance long ago called Camomella that was lovely.

Reaching way back, at least 20 years, Fila once had a great fragrance - very sporty and clean, before clean became an obnoxious trend. Sort of green tea and grass with just a touch of soap or maybe lily of the valley. I usually hate "clean" or "fresh" fragrances now, but i always check out new ones, in case there's any similarity

Gravatar actually now that I think of it, I think the Urban decay lipstick was Lounge! - so we agree that was a great color

Gravatar Oh, how I miss my favorite Foundation. It was by La Prairie and was their "caviar" foundation that came with a pot of concealer fitted into the lid of the foundation. I believe they still make it, but they discontinued my shade (the very lightest shade). I bought 5 bottles at $165 a pop, and sadly ran out late last year.

Now I'm using the Laura Mercier minerals and love them too....but I do miss my favorite foundation!

Gravatar First off, for Stila products, check www.beautycrunch.com -- Cathy, you just missed out on Java! The site is run by Stila people.

I miss:
Neutrogena Body Clear Body Lotion --the only thing that was reasonably priced, totally cleared up body acne & bumps, and didn't stain clothing.

Urban Decay lip gunk, especially the reds.

Calvin Klein makeup (ca. 2000), especially the cream eyeshadows. Perfect colors, very long lasting.

Gravatar When Herbal Essences switched their packaging and fragrances I was rather upset. Their clarifying Rosemary/Lavender shampoo was my favorite, and it gave me great hair and smelled really good. Now it smells awful (in my opinion, of course) so I can't buy it.

Gravatar Many, many years ago, Almay had their own perfume, and it was perfect for me. Sadly, it's long gone and it took me until last year to find a scent I like even half as much as Almay.

I checked online once, and I'm not the only person missing it.

Gravatar B&BW many many years ago had eye shadow sticks, there were a few great colors, especially a shimmery taupe... They did not make my eyes water like many of the new ones do, and the color AND consistency was great. I have been looking for a replacement for about 8 years. NONE of the new products come close: Not the Clinique tube or cream shadows, not the gemma kidd stick eyeshadows, none, nada. And, btw-- I thought I was the only one who ever wore Theorema. I live out in the sticks, so I had no idea you could still get it at outlets. I will be searching for a bottle online tonight!

Gravatar I think I have seen that Fendi fragrance at TJ Maxx!

Gravatar I have found some nice replacements for the Stilla Gold pot eyeshadow. My favorite is Dior Eye Show in Undressed Beige. It stays on me all day. Another nice one is Shiseido H12.

Gravatar Clairol Herbal Essences Fruit Fusions

Clean and Clear Shampoo and Conditioners

Cover Girl Lip Advance (with the stripe of powder and the stripe of gloss in the same little compact? Remember those, circa 1989-1990?)

CLARION COSMETICS

OLAY COSMETICS (especially their wonderful powder foundation)

Salon Selectives in the original formulation

Max Factor Blue Mask

Maybelline Dial-A-Lash (first mascara I ever owned)

Vidal Sassoon Colorifics styling mousse

A lot of the Revlon stuff from the late 80s/early 90s: remember their Springwater line? Loved the foundation.

Gravatar DIOR MAXIMEYES MASCARA! it was the most beautiful, black, volumizing, lengthening, curl-holding mascara ever. i turned atleast 6-10 people onto it via MUA and then POOF! gone! and i can't understand why, so many people adored it! i still cringe about it today, i have a tube left and am terrified to use it because then it'll be gone forever!

Gravatar Revlon Line and Shine- a lip pencil on one end and a matching gloss on the other.

St. Ives Cream Rose body lotion

Estee Lauder Almond Face Mask, or Fack Pack, or something like that.

not a beauty product, but Glaceau Smart Water in Lemon Cucumber. This was the BEST flavor and they don't make it anymore...so refreshing.

Gravatar Jeanne: are you sure the chai rose balm is discontinued? take a look: http://www.badgerbalm.com/p-416-...-balm- tins.aspx

I know I've seen it around recently.

Gravatar Loreal Mermade ~ Best smelling shampoo and conditioner ever. Like the Sea. The Deep Penetrating Cream Hair Treatment was the best. I still have a few tubs and use it sparingly. No suitable replacement.

Lancome Maqui Libre Foundation ~ My favorite foundation ever. I'm using old stock purchased on eBay. No suitable replacement.

John Frieda Beach Blonde Ocean Waves Sea Spray ~ Luckily I stocked up on 15 bottles as soon as I heard it was discontinued. Probably a suitable replacement out there, but I have enough left to last me years.

Ultima II Nakeds No. 2 Lipstick ~ Best nude/beige lipstick ever. No suitable replacement.

Gravatar Laura L - did you see that Salon Selectives is back in the pinky coral packaging? I don't know if the formulas are the same but the smell is. I liked Springwater too.

Reading this makes me realize how old some of my makeup is as I say "I still have that...I still have that." Yipes. Then again my dad still wears clothes he had in the 50s, so it's genetic...

Gravatar oh, how i love the body shop's ananya EDT. while they still make the oil, it will never match up to the EDT.

also, i love the body shop's honey sticks (chapstick).

and i totally agree with cassandra... oh how i miss john frieda's salt wave spray (and the smooth sailing mint conditioner!).

Gravatar Cassandra, I miss the John Frieda Sea Salt Spray as well...it was perfect for beach days before you went and after

Gravatar Sarcon -- thank you! I meant in the stick form; I'm not a huge fan of potted balms (and putting my fingers in them), so I hadn't looked there! Up to just a few months ago, they had Chai Rose in a stick, though...

Gravatar Lancome P.S. Kiss lipstick
B&BW Blackberry Amber body lotion

omg St. Ives chocolate body wash brings back so many memories! I had that in college.

Gravatar Reading this thread has made me feel like there is a "movement" here. How can we effectively communicate with companies when there is really no way to get to the decision maker? Do they read blogs like this fabulous one? Do they ever respond?

I was lucky when I found I could buy some limited edition Revlon creme eye shadows on eBay (they had been gone from the shelves for two years!), but there was no way to talk to anyone at Revlon. Even when you can find someone in customer "service," they have no answers other than "Sorry."

Has anyone ever had any success in convincing a company to bring back a favorite?

Gravatar Tony & Tina eyeshadow duo Romance & Happiness. It was the absolute best color combination, shimmery but not overdone. Stayed on forever and never creased. Went to order more one day and Nordstrom no longer carried it. Came to find out they were no longer around. I have been on the quest to match the color and long wear, but have had no luck so far.

Gravatar Aveda discontinued their Curresence styling line. You can now buy an 8 oz bottle of the conditioner on Ebay for $60. Not kidding. People always bid.

Gravatar I remember when my best friends received a tube of Chanel Vamp lipstick for Christmas in 9th grade. I pocketed it from her right away...then when I could finally afford my own Chanel anything and returned to the Chanel counter, it was like asking for a something in Latin? "Vamp what?"
I was so sad.
B&BW Rivera bodyspray and lotion is gone for good along with my fave scent ever. But I can't remember the name of it anymore...It had gardenias in it and the back of the bottle talked of taking a walk through a garden...??It smelled so delicious.
Not a product but a design...CK skinny jeans. they fit perfect.

Gravatar this will date me:
i was a big bonne bell user as a teen and i loved their little tubes of gel blush. the deep red stain was exactly my shade. i've used a lot of stains since then -- even the bb-packaged lookalike tarte -- but nothing has been that perfect.
which reminds me: i haven't seen bb's signature product, 10-0-6 around in forever. but then, i don't shop for makeup in drugstores much. i have become a snob, le sigh.

Gravatar ok..now i am really dating myself but how about the original clairol herbal essence shampoo???it smelled like a field of herbs and flowers..it brought out the "earth goddess"in all of us...and for something a little morer recent how about cliniques fragrance called simply??one of the few i really loved but also is gone forever...

Gravatar Clinique's moonlight touch base...I loved it even though every package of if it dried up before I ever got to finish it.

I also miss the original Mary Kay foundations that were switched about 4 years ago - nothing quite matched my fair skin like that fairest shade.

I also miss:
Stila's lip quads #1 and #2
Club Monaco's Glaze lipstick
Matrix Vavoom Styling Pomousse - that stuff did miracles for my curls - RIP!

Gravatar Ginger: yes, the old old old pine-green Herbal Essences shampoo with the image of the lady with flowers in her hair! my mother washed my hair with that when i was a child and i love the label.

Charlestongirl: yes, you are so right. this is a movement. i wrote to Bonne Bell requesting that they bring back some of the discontinued Lip Smackers flavors. i was a big Blueberry fan... they also had a Guava flavor at one point that was very nice. But i never heard from them.

Critty: what is this 3CC place? they will replicate discontinued products? do tell!

i miss the Clinique waterproof solid eyeliner that came with a small brush. my friend misses it too; she the brown, i the navy.

i miss the fragrance (and the entire line) of Susannah by Scarborough & Company. i haven't found it online and am parceling out what i have left bit by bit.

i love this posting and all the responses!!!

Gravatar mac, bubbles lipstick
i also miss angel halo perfume VS
lancolm thicking mascara

Gravatar I miss a lot of the Urban Decay products... They sold it for a very short while here in Holland and I got hooked on the eye shadows called Sinner, a pinky champaign, and Midnight Cowgirl, cream with a little golden glitter shot trough it. When I ran out of it, it was already too late because Urban Decay wasn't sold in Holland any longer.

When I was younger I used a shampoo called Timotei Honey. I loved it and it made my (back then) long hair really shiny and bouncy. My hair would smell sweet like honey all day and I still miss it... RIP.

Gravatar YSL lipstick called The Glace (can't do the accent.) I so wish they would bring it back...

Gravatar Add me to the people who miss John Frieda's Ocean Waves - apparently they bought out a replacement called Starlit Waves in 06, but that's gone too - and I only heard about it last month. Sigh.

Also Sunsilk Aloe Vera Waves and Curl Serum - LIFESAVER - and Unilever have just discontinued it in the UK due to low sales, apparently (I don't know a single curly-haired girl who doesn't swear by it). Luckily it's still available in the US, but be careful - it may be on its way out there, too.

Nina Ricci's Les Belles de Ricci Liberty Fizz is my favourite perfume EVER - luckily still on ebay and in the odd random perfume shop but it's getting scarce.

I've been gradually documenting my 'Loved and Lost' products on my blog recently.

Gravatar I miss UD lip gunks horribly. How could they discontinue those? I also miss Boysenberry Ruby Lip Smackers and the Fetish brand of cosmetics. They were like the drugstore version of Urban Decay, and so fun.

Gravatar Ah - The Body Shops's Pink Pepper/Poivre Rouge fragrance. A clean and spicy oriental, the only one of its kind I can remotely tolerate.
How I hold on to my remaining bottle...

Gravatar I dread the day that the "pink pearl" from last year's summer edition of Bobbi Brown will end.

Gravatar i miss Stila lip gloss (the ones that came in the little metal tube) in blush. I have never, ever found its equal although the neutrogena gloss in first blush is close.

Gravatar someone mentioned VS dreamangels halo... this has the most amazing scent - i wore it in high school. found 2 4oz. bottles on ebay - NIB - perfectly preserved - i'm in heaven

Gravatar Someone mentioned the old pine-green Herbal Essences shampoo, I really wanted to find this product... so yummy smelling.

Visit my site: http://www.hmartistsnetwork.com/

Gravatar I also miss John Frieda Beach Blonde Ocean Waves Sea Spray dearly and I even emailed the company a few times and they suggested another product, which does not even come close to the old one. Starlit Waves, but is only suggested for Brunettes.

Christian Dior Skinlight makeup in # 301 Blonde...arrghhh.

Christian Dior the Original Shine Addict lipcolor in #222. The new line they came out with does not even come close.

Estee Lauder, the original Amber Bronze Bronzer in two tones in the smaller compact...the new one is just too big.

Estee Lauder Crystal Lipstick in Crystal Rose and Crystal Baby.

The original smelling Herbal Essances...I hate the new fragrance and can no longer use it.

Also the original smelling Pantene line from years ago, the new fragrance is not good at all.

I also loved Timotei shampoo....used make my hair feel so good.

Why oh why???

Gravatar I also loved St.Ives Cucumber Eyegel...the best and their minty conditioner in the tub. I do not like what they have done to the line. Newer is not always better.

Gravatar Bottled Emotions fragrances--especially Romantic!!

And Urban Decay used to have this green glitter eyeliner in this perfect green. Not anymore.

Gravatar "Estee Lauder Crystal Lipstick in Crystal Rose and Crystal Baby."

I love them too! I bought the Est ée Lauder Blockbuster in 2006 and these colours where both in it. I still have them in sample size but never found the original size at the drugstore. Now I know why...

Such a shame!

Gravatar I have the Anne Klein fragrance, not AKII. It is wonderful, but discontinued. I have one bottle left, and try to ration it. It's selling on eBay for over $100.00. Love it.

Gravatar Lancome Lipstick in Matte Nu

Oh my I love it so much! I just found a tube on ebay! I was so excited to get it.

Gravatar Does anyone remember, in the late 90's--maybe 1996 or 7--a Lancome face product that was in essence a very shimmery foundation? I can't recall the name--Maqui-something, per usual.
It was one of the first prestige cosmetics I ever bought as a teen--it was magic.

Also around that time, Chanel made these eyeshadows, packaged in a tube with a wand, that had the most amazing texture. There was one colour--it was a pinkish-taupe called Mocha something--that was the most perfect complement to my eye colour ever created.

Gravatar hard candy baby doll lipstick...perfect sexy shade of shimmery pink. The only light pink lipstick I was ever able to find that didn't make me look washed out or feel underage.

Gravatar This is for Annie. 3CC is short for Three Custom Color. You can go to their website - www.threecustom.com and they have an area where you input the type of cosmetic, the brand, & then the color. (They'll even work with you to creat a custom color.)For instance, I entered "lipcolor", "Hard Candy" & "Baby Doll". The search showed that they already have that formula in their archives. If your color isn't in their archives they can create it for you. It can't be cheap, (you have to call them to get a price), but beauty and desperation can make us do strange things!

Gravatar i'm always searching for vs halo and anything from the john frieda beach blonde line, i wish they would be re-issued!!

Gravatar Dior Maxim eyes mascara

Jane cosmetics (from 6 years ago)- the minty tasting lipsticks and the foundations and the old packaging

Those Bonne Belle lipglosses that looked like lava lamps but were clear

Lancome cream eye shimmer (discontinued 4) years ago in Sunset and Sun-"something" I literally went crying my way to the lancome counters begging them to check their draws and i got 1 4 years ago and noone is allowed to touch it!!

John Freida beach waves.. i have brown hair but it worked amazingly well

Gravatar BBW Sunsweet Kiwi
Erno Laszlo lipstick in Sheer Mocha
MOP c-system liquid wax
TBS Lavender Milk Bath

Gravatar Mac Blushcreme in Plastic Fantastic. one of the first MAC Products I bought

Gravatar Garden Botanika (wow - how badly am I dating myself here!) lipstick in Carnelian. It was the most beautiful red ever - not too orange-y, not too brown-ish, not to bluish, and definitely not too bright. It was a gorgeous, grown-up, brick red that looked fantastic - NEVER clown-like. *sigh* I've never found a red I like as much (or that looks as good!!) since.

Clinique Almost Lipstick in Snow Cherries. I fell victim to the LE curse.

Gravatar oh, and Maybelline eyeshadow duo in velvet crush.

Gravatar I love Senegence Cosmetics. Why waste your money on items that come off. I sweat, I kiss, I eat, I drink..all day long.. this makeup does not come off, and it is good for your skin too. I buy two items at a time so I dont run out. But think about it? Why would you waste your money on makeup that does not come off.

Tell me what you think about this cosmetic.
go to http://www.senegence.com/celebritymakeup

Gravatar Loreal eyeliner in Raisin, it was the perfect plummy brown that was ideal for green eyes.

Gravatar I love Senegence. This company has been around since 1994. They started out with the semi-permanent lip colors and some of them are retired but the popular ones are back in stock. My deal is why buy makeup that is going to come off? Ever since I found this line I threw all my other makeup away. The cosmetic line lasts 12-14 hours or until you wash it off, you don't have to wear powder with the foundation, it is all liquid, it all blends together, if you sweat, you just pat the sweat off, but the makeup does not come off. It is not a heavy cosmetic. It will help you look youthful, but it does not accentuate the fine lines and wrinkles or ever look orangy or yellow. The eye colors, cheek colors, eyeliners, blush, and foundation are all semi-permanent, which means it is like a tattoo, it stays on until you wash it off, They have a product called Foops that will take your entire face of makeup off in 30 seconds. Not to mention the foundation I love because it has spf 20. I use the face wash, the daytime moisturizer, eye creme, and night creme. And I use the vitamin c serum faithfully every night along with the Climate control. To read more about these wonderful products go to http://www.senegence.com/celebritymakeup

ps A lot of movie stars wear these cosmetics..Joy Behar on the View, Barbrara Walters on the View, Katie Kouric, This cosmetic line has been seen in People Magazine and The Oprah Magazine.. I promise you it will be your last stop shopping destination for makeup.. If you order from the site I mentioned they are offering the Diamond Sense Lip Colors for $20 now, instead of the $25 - they have real diamond dust in the lip colors.. go to http://www.senegence.com/celebritymakeup

God Bless,
Charlotte

Gravatar 1. You can have any color duplicated at 3 Custom Color (online and in NYC).

But, #2, you should think twice. If it's discontinued, there's a reason! Do you want to look like an old woman still wearing the makeup from her teens and twenties?? Oh,no,no,no.

I saw a private, fee for service makeup artist for my 45th birthday. (INTENTIONALLY not someone at a counter making their living on commission.) I had her go through every thing I owned and review the color and texture with me.I wound up changing my lip color for the better and tossed the rest of the old lipsticks. She also assured me I wasn't wearing too much eye makeup or bad foundation- 2 other dreadful mistakes. Worth every penny. Makeup has to change over time!!

Gravatar Try Gone but not Forgotten. Type this into google and you'll get a number to call. Lancome, Prescriptives, Clinique, and others are all tied into this and they will check their inventory for any stock available through out the US.

I had no luck with my favorite lipstick of all time: Riches by Prescriptives. I haven't found anything to replace this pink/purple slight shimmer shade.

The other favorite that's gone is my Plum Metal lipliner by Victoria Secret. This was the ultimate color to match my lips that went with any lipstick.

I can't even find these on ebay....sigh.....

Gravatar This is a cheapo, but it has the cleanest smell of anything I've ever used. It's Suave Waterlily and Aloe bodywash. But, they have brought it back for a limited edition. I buy a stack of it everytime I go in the store. It was even better than Bath and Body Works Waterlily and Ivy, which they discountinued. Suave Waterlily and Aloe is just the best bodywash I've ever used and I have used some very expensive ones and Suave is the best. When they took it off the market, people were selling it on ebay.

Gravatar I think Bath and Body Works has to be the most notorious for discontinuing items. Even their most popular sccents seem to go by the wayside! I miss their Ile de Tahiti(which they only had for one season) and their Tutti Dolce.
BTW for anyone interested I have the Smashbox fusion Lip Illusion available in my new store.

Gravatar 'More Volume' by Estee Lauder ( a LONG time ago) a great volumnizer for hair

'Dolce Vita', especially the powder, by Christian Dior. Most perfect daytime fragrance ever created

Gravatar MAC Epic. I have a tube from 1997, that I still haven't opened. Can't seem to find it!

Gravatar I miss Intencils mascara from Lancome. No other mascara has compared!

Gravatar Isadora Perfume! I still pine for it. Last seen around 1976.
Water color eyeliner. Nothing works better and is easier to apply.
I used to get it from Clinique or Mary Kay

Gravatar Aussie Hair Salad and Curing Muddy.

Gravatar You should try MAC Mineralize Eye Shadow in Love Connection, its a lovely shimery gold eyeshadow which doesnt crease at all. a good, pretty, long lasting gold eyeshadow.

Gravatar Oh yes, water-based eyeliners. Talk about dating myself: *COTY* used to make fabulous ones. As did Clinique.

Tony & Tina, period

Delux cosmetics

Fresh Iris Milk lipstick. The most perfect pale shade of pink-mauve, with almost a grayish undertone to it. I even called the company, they barely remember making it, and 3CC doesn't have it in their databank.

Ultima The Nakeds eyeshadow #19. The most perfect shimmery champagne ever.

Isabella Rossellini's Manifesto line: I still have 2 half-used lipsticks. Her products were awesome!

Gravatar About companies reacting to discontinued products: The only company I know that bring back old favs is Lush. they communicate with their customers via their website and forums, I think. An examplle to follow perhaps?
Gone but not forgotten: Origins did a limited edition Ginger with a Twist last Christmas. Didn't buy it, but loved it, now nowhere to be found! Even Ebay has not been able to assist. Sigh

Gravatar My very first Lancome lipstick--I was 13 and my stepmother bought me a lipstick with a pentip brush applicator. The color was "Raisin" and it was dark then for a teen, but would be perfect 20 years later (like now)!

Also--Estee Lauder Futurist Lipstick in Divine Wine

Clinique Water Therapy Shower Gel (the green one discontinued in the early 90s)

Those are the 3 big ones
No replacements worthy of my love...

Gravatar Lancome's Aromatonique body spray....hands down

Gravatar Oh I hate when companies discontinue products that I love! My favorite was a Clinique eyeliner in Slate, they have completely changed all the colors and formulas and I haven't found one that compares since, grrrr...

http://pinque.wordpress.com

Gravatar I miss Neutrogena's 60 second hair repair (it would make my hair so soft and pretty)

Gravatar Versace BLONDE perfume and Lancome discontinued masacara

Gravatar Versace BLONDE perfume and Lancome Intencils masacara

Gravatar For those who want to have a color duped, try checking with smaller mineral makeup companies. Many of them will dupe colors for you at a price way cheaper than 3 Custom Color.

I have had a couple of discontinued colors duped for me, and they came out perfect! The only drawback is that they only do loose powders- but I actually like that better, so it wasn't a big deal for me!

Check out Beauty by Saria on Etsy. She's really helpful and if she can't do something, she'll tell you who can!

Gravatar This is a great post!

My two that come to mind are:

Maybelline Twin Brow and Eye Pencil in shade Charcoal Gray (the most perfect color ever, and the only Maybelline product that I liked)

Borghese lipstick in shade Brunello, a metallic bronze-burgundy that was flattering no matter what hair color I was sporting that week.

Oh and re: Senegence from the postings above, I like their lip products BUT they are a high pressure MLM situation. One of my friends was taken for a ride with some outlandish promises of return investment, enough said.

Gravatar Youllfeel like your walking through a lush garden of...if thats how it started sounds like Vsecret bottles.

I miss vsecret enchanted apple lip gloss
OP juice perfume
Smashbox skin tint

Rembrant whitening toothpaste b4 it was bought by oral B

And the product im most sad is gone was the lancome juicytubes in Grenadine¡!

Gravatar Oh..there are too many to mention!I am forever having this problem with discontinued products; not only for myself, but also when recommending shades/lines of product to my clients! Very frustrating...

Gravatar mac just had a perfect bronzer...went in to get a new one, and of course...discontinued. ahhh!! it was seriously perfect. so now im using physicians formula. and no, its not the same. :/

anyone else know what im referring to? they are the mineral bronzers...? and if you were also a user, but found a good replacement..please email me!

Gravatar Clinique Touch Tint for Eyes. I loved its smooth texture and sparkle. Of course, it's completely and utterly gone from department stores. Pink Sheen was a lovely, sheer shade with subtle gold/silver sparkle and my base shadow. It was the only cream product I never had a creasing problem with. And now? It's gooooooooonnnnnnnneeeeeeeee.

Gravatar Hi,
This skin care products blog is very informative for skin care treatments.
Its a nice blog and i hope this blog is very much useful for my visitors.
Skincare and You

Gravatar - original Pantene before it went Pro-V, with the pearlized round tops. I wish they'd bring that back! I do notice a difference.

- I think Neutrogena just discontinued the pore refining line, right as I was getting addicted to the toner, because I can't find it any drugstore anywhere. :-(

Gravatar I miss the Lancome Ombre trios, epecially in nude. I used this for everything! It was like a one stop shop for a warm, peachy glow. The cream shadow even worked as a lipcolor. I will be very, very sad when I can't find this on ebay anymore.

Gravatar Oh! That is why you should never fall for limited edition products unless you can secure a good stash of products!

As for the products I miss the most? I am not really sure that they make my favorite perfume anymore. Its called My Ocean For Her by Club Med. Last time I checked, you can find it in a few obscure websites but thats it. I heard they stopped making it.....

Oh! And I miss Sunsilk's shampoos and conditioner for blonde hair! I think they stopped making it last year.....

Sorry for taking so long~

Gravatar Kristen, you should try the L'oreal HIP eyeshadow duo in wicked. AWESOME gold shadow.

Gravatar Ginnie Johansen perfume (I think it was made in Dallas)

Chanel Ciel Nuit nail polish -- was a dark navy with silver sparkles, cheered me up during pregnancy

Chanel lipstick in Fawn (and of course Vamp)

Sebastian Sheen shampoo and conditioner circa 1991-1992

Original Herbal Essence shampoo with flowery hippie logo (me too!)

Lancome's Lip Brio lip glosses especially Rose Audrey

A neutral Maybelline eyeshadow circa 1993 the name of which I can't remember but it looked quite good with dark brown eyes

Teint Pur Mat foundation in Fawn -- way too expensive but matched my skin at the time 100%
