Wow, LG is what, seven? That's some pretty hardcore political indoctrination going on in the Scribbler-Blue household. Reminds me of my own childhood, though from the other side: when Clinton was elected in 92, my dad had me convinced that the sky would fall.

It's good to have your political priorities straight, at any age.
There's an article in Mothering magazine this month about how parents shouldn't introduce politics to their kids--I don't agree, not the least b/c it would rule out these sorts of conversations.

being a resident of massachusetts my entire life, i don't know. mitt romney would only be president for four years (terrible as they may be). but we could never live down losing a million to one to the yankees. they would never let us forget it. maybe to the orioles?
