Beerli, it's always a small group of ratbags who spoil it for everyone.
Because of a small percentage of idiots, the poor taxi drivers have to always be wondering if the passengers are dangerous. I like chatting to taxi drivers whilst I sit in the front seat but because of these few, safety measures will mean cabs might have a protection screen and passengers are only allowed in the back.
Australia was lucky for so long but times are changing.
It's also refreshing to see someone stand up for taxi drivers instead of the constant insults they get. Well done.
Thank you for your comments. I usually sit next to taxi drivers and chat away too. I have learnt a lot that way because they know a lot! I know we have to change, but isolating ourselves from each other really isn't the way to go...nor is supporting this ongoing harassment and violence.
