This is all kinds of awesome. My heart is big enough to love both. I have loved Petra Haden since you first introduced me to her (and dude, where is my head that I never figured out she was Charlie Haden's daughter), and I had no idea she was related to Jack "Better to Burn Out or Fade Away" Black). But now I love Glee too. Dont' hate the lover.
Even though Journey is fairly cheesey and even sucky, I've always had a soft spot for them because I had the Journey video game for Atari. This is pretty good at parts but parts of it hurt my ears- the screachy parts were not suited for their voices and some of the attempts to sound like a guitar or synthesizer just were pain inducing (literally, I mean- very unpleasant sounds.) Some of it was nice, though.
Matt - I think it's a bit unfair to punish Petra for what is clearly a bad and rough mix. And the fact that no one has commented on the Wilson Phillips quote has me EXTREMELY sad.
A slightly better mastering... that makes it a bit more apparent her intention of the cover.
