"awesome" is pretty clearly "rediscovered" in that it _is_ 80's slang brought back- it was a common term when I was in Jr. high. That's one of the reasons why I hate hearing people say it so much now- it's childish and trite. The other reason why I don't like it is that it sounds, and makes those using it, sound stupid. I'll stop my grumpy old man rant now, but really, it's so terribly trite and makes people sound like silly teen-agers. It's like saying "like" all the time, that is, terrible.
