Chivalry is dead, unfortunately.

I am used to doors swinging shut in my face now as the guy breezes through first, it is always an apt metaphor, to which you want to say "and don't let the door hit you on your way out!"

I wonder if it's more a product of youth and immaturity, after all who brings only $20 to a tapas restaurant? Even on dates, I always bring enough to cover myself. Shrug. Bad planning mixed with bad manners.
