Wasn't 103.1 called KLITE - and didn't the TV ads feature Dick Clark? Yeah - that's old school O.C. radio right there.

I do remember Y107 - although I moved to Santa Barbara not long after it started - and I think within a year or two it was Spanish language.

The station I really liked - which also lasted for a hiccup - was 102.9. They played a bunch of music that was still fairly commercial in terms of label - but that no one else was playing on the radio at the time. They, too, went Spanish language shortly after I moved to SB.
