This sounds like a great book...in the tradition of Sally Engle Merry's Getting Justice and Getting Even (which I believe covered the Middlesex County, MA small claims courts where I used to volunteer as an undergrad).
And for the record, my party of NJ (the JC) has a White Castle only 300 yards from my banlieue....and the JC is one of the rare areas of the US to be about one quarter Afr-Am, one quarter wht, one quarter latin, one quarter asian....see

It's coming out on April 25th. In my universe, all the cool blogging profs and aspirants thereof would go see it together. I have all sorts of juvenile ideas about law prof get togethers. Who wants to hang out at a hotel bar at a conference when you can go bowling?

Read this book for class and you've just summed it up wonderfully!
If you just added in the anecdotes, this is essentially, the point of the book.
