In my building people randomly ring the buzzer on different apartments to be let in a lot, often, it seems because they don't remember which one is their friend's apartment. Even the police, though, when they want to be let in, just ring random apartments and say, "It's the police, let us in." The few times it's happened w/ the police or fire department I went down stairs and it really was them. Weird that they didn't say more.
