Hey cool! Thanks for the link Funny, but I actually just finished composing an email to a girl who wrote asking my opinion of my law school. I answered her by saying I'd be happy to discuss, after she told me why she wanted to go. Receiving her answer and seeting hints of my own reasoning, I again replied with my promised review of UC Hastings . . . along with 2,051 words about the decision in broad terms. I'll send her this post of yours too now.
And I think I feel another post of my own coming on . . .

I have a few quick points.
first off, very few people get massive salaries after law school.
second, I know very few lawyers in non-6 figure jobs who actually work 70-80 hours per work.
third, just because you go to law school doesn't mean you have to wind up practicing law. but, its a strike against you when you try to get any other job, because people in this country really hate lawyers.
fourth, law school has very little to do with practicing law.
fifth, law school is a think most people endure rather than enjoy. law school is less fun than grad school.
sixth, trial advocacy is just about the most stressful thing you can do in life, and most people cannot handle the stress for extended periods.
seventh, practicing law can be excrutiatingly routine--even when its at its most stressfull.
Peace.
