Gravatar How stunningly beautiful. The colours of the lace and of the rose.

Poor someone. Wrong kind of stitches. Didn't you tell him?

Gravatar yay, so glad you are back, i did miss you, even for such a short break! that icarus is definitely the right choice for that scrummy yarn, and i know it will finish up just as stunning as myrtle.

Gravatar Huzzah!! Glad you bowed to peer pressure!!

And looky at Icarus! You'll be finished in no time!!

Lovely rose. Maybe it is the red rose's birthday today!! (heh!!)

Oh gee, I can't imagine how Sean would survive if he couldn't use the iPhone!!! Hope it's doing ok and not too painful.

Gravatar gosh is it your birthday RoseRed? I'd better start thinking of a gift for you!

Gravatar Oh, I LOVE the colour (rose and shawl)! It's going to look utterly gorgeous with your Snow White colouring.

Gravatar I am so glad to see you back here! I know it is a lot of work for you but I have really missed reading your blog every day. It became part of my routine when I first got to work in the morning!

Shawl is looking stunning, the colour is amazing.

Gravatar Both shawl and rose are stunning. It's good to see you back.

Gravatar Isn't Icarus gorgeous?! Excellent choice for your lovely yarn. You're racing ahead of me now (but I'm flying through socks and hats at the moment.)

I think tomorrow is lace day for me.

And what a beautiful rose! Summer looks like it has arrived there quite quickly! Definitely a long one this year.

And here's hoping Sean's powers of healing work extra fast. That sounds like it was quite an ordeal.

Gravatar Lovely shawl, lovely rose... poor Sean, I hope his thumb gets better quickly. Ouch

Gravatar The power of Facebook...mwahahahahaha...

Poor Sean; did the doctor get gauge with his/her stitches??

I made Icarus a while ago, and loved it too. Hmm, maybe I should make another one?

Gravatar the rose is beautiful, it looks so velvety, and icarus is growing impressively. i think it's a lovely pattern, and your wings will look stunning in that rosy colour.

Gravatar Icarus is looking just lovely. I was in the wool shop today drooling over that Estonian Lace knitting book after seeing your shawl. Hmmm, very tempting! Though with the weather we're having in melbourne, knitting anything is not happening :-(

The rose is magnificent!

I have major passing out issues with finger injuries, particularly when they involve knives, so I'm not commenting on that other than to say that hopefully it heals quickly!!

Gravatar Great to have you blogging again...and the Icarus is beautiful.

Gravatar yes - salad and bbq weather for sure! we have one or two blossoms on our rose at the moment (we got nothing last year) - but they got completely fried in the heat today =( !!
Hope Sean's thumb heals quick - lucky he's correct handed ;o)

Gravatar Welcome back!! Ouch, poor Sean. I hope his finger heals quickly!!

Gravatar Oh I hope the thumb is feeling better now.
Icarus is beautiful and I am pretty sure you're not flying too close to the sun with this at all. It looks gorgeous!! The roses are so lovely this time of the year!!!

Gravatar Beautiful rose. And beautiful Icarus. That's a pattern I've admired for a long time. We are having unseasonably warm weather here. More like late spring than late fall.

Poor Sean. When Pk cut his finger tip almost off (on the table saw), he came running upstairs to the bathroom with blood dripping through his clenched fist saying "nothing's wrong, just a little cut....." He wouldn't let me take him to the ER to get it stitched. We bandaged it up and he has a lovely Manly Scar.

Gravatar Now will he keep the thumb tucked under for his knife work? Owser!

Lovely rose photo. You have camera skilz! And Icarus will be such a useful, wonderful shawl! Excellent choice!!

Gravatar Sharp knives and thumbs... there's a law of attraction between them.

Gravatar Welcome back! I see I'm not the only person that missed you.

I love the Icarus shawl. Maybe I'll try that before untangling my Ishbel!

Gravatar Icarus looks great - good choice!

Gravatar OH, no!!! Poor certain someone who also lives there! Those finger injuries stink - and take forever to heal! (At least he's not a knitter, cuz that's when it really stinks, let me tell you.) I missed you - it is hard going through the anti-blogtoberfest withdrawal! Hope you're well. Glad you've been enjoying Icarus - it looks great. And you're right: sometimes that kind of thing is just what you need.

Gravatar Beautiful, gorgeous stunning - and I want to smell that rose - it really looks as if I should be able to!

Gravatar Lovely Icarus! Recently I have been addicted to shawl knitting & just cast off another one. Now my fingers are itching to do another. Hope Sean's finger is better now.

Gravatar Ouch, poor guy! At least he was smart enough to go to the hospital: my dad is a butcher, and once he sliced the tip off his thumb... and then tried to stick it back on with a band-aid. Mum was NOT amused! She hauled him down to the casualty department by his ear, calling him for all the irresponsible idiots under the sun.

Gravatar So good to see you back blogging, you have been missed.

The Icarus is looking good, it's on my long list of things to do too, must finish Aestlight first though!

Hope Sean's thumb heals quickly, now he won't be able to join Tori for a duet!

Gravatar Icarus is lovely! A good mindless knit is a wonderful thing.

Gravatar Lovely knitting and roses!

I've missed you - glad to have you back! (old blog or new)

Gravatar The lace looks lovely, I am glad it is working out. And that rose, beautiful.

Gravatar Hope Sean's thumb is on the mend, sounds gruesome.

Icarus looks lovely, as well as no blogging since I got back I've been struggling to do much knitting. Evil jetlag and too much going on - but this week it's creeping back and the idea of just sitting down for a long stretch of something simpleish is very appealing when I look at that lovely shawl.

Oh and I hope that hippo gets in the mail soon!!

Gravatar Lovely lace, lovely rose and I guess the thumb tip was the same colour! (Speaking as one who tried to take her knitting finger tip off on the next night.) Hope the thumb is healing well.

Gravatar Oh, they are both gorgeous. I love the crinkly petal edges of the red rose.

Poor Sean, ouch!
