Gravatar Nice choice - I predict you will finish your cardi, and that I will not. But I'm ok with that!!

(also, sport is only yawn inducing if you are not interested. It's not necessarily yawn inducing for others!!!)

Gravatar I have joined up. I was going to do the Monday morning cardi, but after seeing a lovely red garter yoke, I might have to do this too!

Gravatar Dear bells. You know, it was the scenery that got Mr Moi and I into watch Le Tour as well, and we even took a month driving around France and visited some of the sights in the Pyrenees and the Val de la Loire... Beautiful. ahhh.

Perfect time for knitting a cardy.

Gravatar Gorgeous choice! I've made a sweater in that colour before, and I adore it! Love the pattern choice too. Best of luck with it. Oh, and I love your description of the tdf - brilliant!

Gravatar TdF is probably the only sport I'll even consider watching (aside from Roller Derby that is!).

Your cardigan is going to be magnificent, and I too predict you will complete, most likely with the yellow jersey

Gravatar oh yeah - love to play and the cardie is a great knit - I am on the bottom garter bit about to start the sleeves.

now what to knit for the tour de knit...

Gravatar I've also signed up - in a moment of enthusiasm I even volunteered to do a stage commentary. I love the Tour de France - the cycling as well as the scenery. I'm still aiming to complete the Tangled Yoke cardi for my daughter who (fortunately) is smaller than I am, but still, it will be miraculous if I finish it within the time of le Tour.

Gravatar I know nothing of the Tour De France (or any sport for that matter) but I declare Bells that every time you join something I want to join it too.

Can't wait to see that cardi!

Ailsa

Gravatar I've done the Tour the last two years and finished my projects. They weren't nearly as ambitious as yours! I think I'll sit this one out this year. I just don't have the oomph to get into it.

Gravatar This is going to be such fun to watch! Good luck to you.

Gravatar Wow, I completely forgot about the Tour KAL. Is it really almost July?? I'll cheer you on from the sidelines this year, I think. And is Princess Grace really almost one?? I really thought I'd be back on my game enough to have a package sent in time for her first birthday, darnit. Sigh. Maybe when Vaughan (gulp) goes to school I'll magically find some more time...or perhaps MY Grace will magically nap alone?

Gravatar I was a rabid cyclist at one point (yes, really) and totally got into the Tour, and it sounds to me like you understand the gist of it perfectly. All the strategy and crap just gives you a headache and makes no sense anyway.

Can't wait to see what you knit up, I'm sure it will be lovely. I remember Adele's cardi from last year, and I'm glad that she's thrilled with it, because you did a fantastic job on it.

Wish I could join in, but a hard-core KAL while moving would just make me insane.

Gravatar I'm with you when it comes to an interest in sport, but you're right about the Tour, it is interesting to see the different regions they travel through and the travelogue-y segments they have. Don't think I'll commit to joining in this time, but will cheer you on from the sidelines! Love your choice of yarn too.

Gravatar Now you put it so well I wish I was doing one new big project - but no the mountains of WIPS it must be!

Sounds like a great getaway at the weekend and I'm with you on a wintry beach

Gravatar Great choice - I think that yarn will be lovely as a GYC. Its a great pattern, you'll love it and the end product is very wearable

Gravatar i have watched you guys do the TdF for a couple of years and after avoiding KALs for quite some time, have gone ahead and signed up for this one. however, my personal challenge is a pair of cookie socks, not a whole goddamn cardigan. i am starting to think you have masochistic tendencies helen. but of course, great choice and you will get it done, because you always do xx

Gravatar I LOVE Le Tour...Hub used to be a competitive cyclist, so we're glued to the set whenever that time of year rolls around...our dream is to one day travel over to watch the race live and in person!

Gravatar Okay.... now I'm feeling guilty I'm not on Ravelry more! I can't wait to see your cardigan--your work is always so finished and polished... it will be lovely.

Gravatar The cardi for your sister is absolutely gorgeous. I'm looking for something simple and pretty to make for me and I'd love the details for this.

Thanks

Susan

Gravatar You've talke dme into it - I think anther Flair will have to be the garment of choice - or maybe Tempest.....

Gravatar Happy cycling-knitting! Much easier than knitting to tennis, which just doesn't seem to ever work!

Gravatar I've been thinking of joining in this year, last year I watched while knitting I think my second ever scarf! I've also been thinking of making the Garter Yoke Cardigan, so I may even join you in that choice. I'm sure yours will look fantastic in the Rowan, it's a beautiful colour.

Thanks too for your comments on my "knittaversary", you're extremely right about me being gone, and if I'd known you were down at the beach on the weekend I would have popped by to say hello!!

Gravatar I am dithering about whether to join or not. I love the colour of the Peat and that is such a lovely cardigan!! I remember the trials and tribulations of Adele's lovely cardigan!! Good luck, I can't wait to see your new cardigan evolve!!!

Gravatar Good choice- and the cardigan you made last year is beautiful! I can't wait to see how this year's turns out!

Gravatar Great choice of yarn & pattern. I am off now to check the KAL - maybe I should join?

Gravatar Hey Bells

Still loving the cardi and wore it just yesterday.

Delly

Gravatar It's a great choice, and I love the yarn you choose to go with it - it's gorgeous!
