I loved making it and imbued it with good thoughts of you and for you. The flowers are beautiful. Flowers do brighten up a day, don't they?

I got flowers on Saturday too, and I have to say that it really does make all the difference between wallowing in your own misery and seeing a light at the end of the very long, very dark tunnel.
The book, yarn and fluffy stuff is just amazing. I've been tempted by the drop spindle for a while - may have to talk to Jacqui about lessons!
(I've also been tempted to take up knitting again and improve my skills so that I can make socks, but don't tell anyone ... lol)

Hugs on the period. I'm glad you're surrounded by people who obviously care and are thoughtful enough to send you flowers and take good care of you.
As for the spinning... yeah... I got my wheel just to ply together lace weight yarn into heavier stuff. Uh uh. Sure. Now I'm dyeing my own roving. Look out. Should we warn Sean?

Those are some cool flowers! And the book is beautiful! I'm hoping to be able to resist the spinning bug, myself, since I have enough stash issues as it is...

That's a wonderful bunch of pretties. Doesn't it feel good to know you're loved? I'm sorry to hear the most recent round hasn't been a success. I'm (still) sending good thoughts your way.

I can feel the warmth surrounding you all the way over here. I'm sorry about the period, I know that was disappointing for you. Positive, fertile thoughts on their way.

Not sure how to respond to this post. Your warmth and humanity shine through everything you write. So sorry to hear about the setback.

Jess put me on to your blog, and it's great to read about another lovely Canberran. Have you considered felting your lovely new wool? It's very mechanical, hands-on and therapeutic. Also, have you heard about the new research into acupuncture increasing the success rate of IVF? Prayers for success in your next round.

Glad the flowers brightened your day - very thoughtful of your friend! And Amy's book looks just beautiful!
Bugger about the broken drop spindle - Dotter's spindle (which she's FOUND again, in a box in her room, hurrah!) was broken too (due to her being careless), and Hubby's managed to repair it quite well, you can barely see the break in the shaft. It's certainly strong enough still. I can ask him what he did if Sean needs any ideas... but I *think* it was just strong woodworking glue.

Forgive me Bells for I have sinned. Last night Our Lovely Friend Karen got me knitting in acrylic. Yes. She is after a poncho for Miranda. Maybe we should collaborate and whip one up in merino? I just bought a few balls. You in?

Hey Bells sorry to hear about last week, but on the positive side how lucky are you to be surrounded by so much love and support. The book bought back a love of mine bookmaking, I used to make books all the time, I am inspired so thank you Amy for the reminder.
Lovely flowers, I love receiving flowers but made the mistake of criticising ones that H bought me once. Not sure what I was thinking must have been delirious... Anyhow I seldom get flowers but I yearn for them... they make you smile and delight in so many ways.
Anyhow remote but heartfelt warm wishes and positive thoughts...
