Whatever is wrong with Scotty at the plate, it sure isn't affecting his defense, thank God. He's obviously pressing, which tends to amplify the problem, but I seriously doubt he'll have a season similar to Pat Burrell's in 2003. Maybe dropping him a spot or two in the lineup for a few games might help, I don't know. I remember after Walker arrived last season, Rolen went to TLR and offered to move from the clean-up spot. If he doesn't get off the schnide soon, I wouldn't be surprised if he does that again.
well, maybe all he needed was a weekend facing Brewers pitching. 3/5 with a homre run yesterday, and 2/3 with a RBI so far today. He'll come around.
