Gravatar Kevin Slayton and Mike Claiborne, I think, were talking about Albert's 9th inning troubles yesterday on KFNS. It is a disturbing pattern he has had of first-pitch swinging, isn't it?
There was a bad call in the 4th, I believe, that favored the Cards. Walker was definitely out at 2nd, but called safe. As a result of the call, Lowe basically fell apart, even throwing a pitch close to Reggie's knee(he'll pay for that next time, you watch).
I think Mike goes to refill his cooler of "frosty ones" when he's gone.
The umpire could have been heard in Belleville, that's how loud he was, and of course, Dan and Al had to comment on it every friggin time.
This just in...Albert is human, afterall. Who knew?
Eck and Yadi...two thumbs up. Let's hope they can keep it up.
I think they can handle the Mutts. The matchup I'm looking forward to is on Saturday,. when it's Pedro vs. Mulder. We owe Pedro big time. He better look out.

Gravatar i'm at shea on saturday, i get to see pedro/mulder, my first game since i saw clemens/mulder. can't wait, except for these damn nightmares of beltran hitting 8 homers in a series. (we better own pedro)

Gravatar Have zero problem with Albert swinging at the first pitch as long as its a quality pitch.

Gravatar I was really happy when John Mabry took a swing at a first pitch in this game, so I can't complain about Pujols doing it either.

Gravatar Swinging at a first pitch doesn't generally bother me. It probably works about as much as it doesn't.

Unless the pitcher's clearly having control issues. GIDP after a couple of walks is very annoying.
