Gravatar I remember where I was too. I had nodded off watching the Fox game, muted, while listening to the Baseball Show on ESPN radio. I woke up just in time to hear Karl Ravetch and Rob Dibble talking about it. My mind was a bit foggy, so I thought it was a dream. Then they announced it on Fox, and my heart sank. A few minutes later, my then(and recently reconciled) girlfriend called me from California to see if I was ok. I was in a state of shock, so no, I wasn't. After we hung up, I cried like a baby for what seemed an eternity. And then, seeing Joe Girardi come out and announce to the crowd that a tragedy had happened in the Cardinals family...jeez, I couldn't take it anymore.
The game was blacked out on EI where I live, because I'm in the Nats "home" area, but MLBTV showed it. The Nats broadcast showed the kids taking the number down, which I thought was classy of them.
Nope, no way Matty and Jimmy were gonna let the Cards lose this game. It was destiny.

Gravatar I forgot about Walker's press conference, but this picture reminded me:
