Gravatar The Lee thing kind of sucks, but he is having a good season. However, the real pisser on this is that he's a Cub, so he gets the advantage of playing to a national audience on WGN. Plus that whole stupid lovable looser thing...come on, who really cares. If he's so darn good why are the Cubs not even competing for the Wild Card? They better remember that with the MVP award this year.

Anyone want to bet that Lee's second half isn't as good? It's a long season, and he's overperforming for his career stats.

Gravatar I may be drummed out of CardinalNation for this, but being an old-school kinda guy(and old, to boot), I still think the player who's having the best SEASON deserves to start at w/e position he plays. Therefore, I voted for Lee at first base. Yes, that's right, a Cub. In fact, the only Cardinal I voted for was Grudzie. Call me a traitor; call me an idiot(wouldn't be the first time), but that's the way I've always seen it, and voted it.

Gravatar You know who sounds really good on that cd is Aubrey Huff. The guy has some serious pipes. And you're right, Sam Cooke is eternal.

Gravatar Ryan-Lee is playing way over his head right now, over .100 above his career AVE and his SLG is over .200 higher. I don't think he can keep it up, but it would take a monumental collapse (like going 0-fer-August) for him to not have a simply outstanding year (almost MVP-like).

cardsrul-I totally understand. Lee is absolutely deserving based on what he's doing, but like I said, I'm petty.
