I'm looking at it this way--we still have a double-digit lead, which I fully expect to erode while our guys get healthy. If, by mid-sept, we're still ahead by 5 or so games, I'll consider that a job well done by the replacements, and our regulars will be able to ride that to october. If it erodes further than 5 games, then the regs are gonna have to come back like the champs they are and fight like hell. Either way, I still see them making playoffs--what really worries me is how they'll play then. I'm tired of this crap too, but they must get healthy now if they're gonna be celebrating at all in october. In many ways, if the health problems get worked out now and everybody gets a good rest, they may have a better chance at winning the WS than they did last year, when running out of gas did them in. Keep the faith (as I know you will)--there are gonna be some dark days ahead, but our boys WILL prevail.
