I have the same problem with keeping a container full of ill-fitting clothes. I told my husband that my pre-pregnancy jeans mock me because they are the ghosts of asses past.

Hee! "Ghosts of asses past." Can I borrow that? It's too funny not to. The mister wanted me to try on one of my skinny skirts last night - I could look at it and tell it wasn't going to go over my ass, but he insisted on seeing for himself. You know what happened next, right? Man, the ghosts of asses past must've been laughing so hard...

I kept that box of clothes until I put on a pair of jeans that supposedly still "fit" and proceeded to sit down and split them down the middle. It was horrifying and I cried and threw all of my old tiny mocking clothes away. I hate old tiny clothes... there are few things in life more cruel.

I have also just given all of my old tiny clothes to Goodwill. I may be a size eight again one day, but those clothes are early-90s fashion that I seriously doubt is coming back.

Angela - oh, I think I would have cried too. And then burned the offensive pair of jeans.
Elizabeth - If these were ugly clothes, it would be easier to let go. But! I have a lot of cute stuff that would be great to wear to work.

Don't throw that stuff away! I did because I figured I'd never be able to fit into any of it again, and then I got motivated and lost some weight and had to go buy a bunch of new stuff. Which sounds like fun but now I'm broke.

Hee hee, ghosts of asses past. I am, however, a believer in the ghosts of asses yet to come. Will they wear the chains I forged in life? I guess we'll find out! Do you ever use that Conair foot bath, or does it just sit in your closet like MY Conair footbath?

Jennie - Exactly! I'm not going to be tricked like that again.
Feral Mom - Oh, shit, the ghosts of asses yet to come. Talk about scary. I actually do use the Conair foot bath. Not as often as I could, but now that I've straightened up my closet a bit it'll be easier to get to. Because, you know, it's so hard reachiing into the back of the closet.
Tits McGee - Thanks! Now that I've publicly admired it, however, it will probably bashfully run away, never to be seen again. That's what I'll tell myself when I can't find it, anyway.
