I recently cracked that irritating Bittersweet Symphony song; It's Grieg's Hall of the Mountain King with a bit of warp on it.
Another one is U2's Vertigo is almost a straight musical rip from Iggy Pop's New Values.

I might be the only person who actually likes Son Of Dork. Sure, there name is horrible, but I still like their music. blink-182 is my favorite band of all time, and Son Of Dork does rip them off. But if they're ripping off music I love, why wouldn't I like it?

most punk chord progressions are based on the same structure anyway. and the riff is not identical, it differs in rhytym and has passing tones not in the other example.

incidentally, i don't like either band.
