It is apparently stuck in the Office of Latin Letters, i.e. it is still getting translated out of Latin. It's already been approved by the Holy Father, like you say.

Given that the Holy Father writes perfect Latin, Italian, French, Sapnish and of course German I am not clear why he needs help in translating documents unles they are to be translated into Slavic languages, Chineese or Arabic!

Yeah, ok. A friend of a friend of a friend of a friend etc. said...
These rumors are getting sickening. I know they are not put forth maliciously, but perhaps the devil is using the good will. The more we put forth rumors, even if we cite names we raise expectations. When the motu proprio doesn't come when we think, it only leads to anger, impatience, sadness, and discouragement - definitely not fruits of the Holy Spirit.

Let's say at least "being revised". After all, if I write even a private letter in English I often get someone to read it through for me, never mind Polish or Italian. Moreover, ole JP II apparently wrote perfectly good Latin (how do you know wur current Holy Father writes "perfect" F,I, etc?) and still was happy to write his stuff in not-Latin and then have it translated. And if wur current HF writes his stuff in Latin and then sends the finished product from his desk to whoever translates into Sorbian and the four chief dialects of Rumansch, then why was Fr Foster having to struggle with translating "ego" in Deus Caritas Est? mmm?

I put "snotty mode" indicators on that previous post, but they got eaten.
Resentment? These rumours just make me giggly and cheer me up! Have you not seen the Random Motu Proprio Date Generator on the Curt Jester's blog? The mere thought of it coming out brings me out in sniggers of bemused joy!
