That was the point that I didn't quite follow either. I assume he will undergo more tests, because I can't see how he will be able to help at all if he won't undergo more tests. All a bit strange.

Wow. What a story. I do hope he ends up getting more testing. It would be a shame to let an opportunity to get new information slip by.

I wonder if he got a false negative? Is that possible?
In any case, I hope he changes his mind. He's been given an opportunity to help change the world.

Read (or read about) "Natural Cures They Don't Want You to Know About" by Kevin Treadeua.
I would bet any money whoever this guy is knew that stuff, because there IS a cure fo cancer, there IS a cure for the common cold, and there IS a cure for HIV.
I dare you to read the book if you don't believe me

i can sort of understand where he's coming from with the no more tests thing... when i was younger & they didnt know what was wrong with my skin they used to treat me like a pin cushion, always sticking needles in my arms etc. it gets too much after a while. if he lets the doctors do whatever they like he'll be in and out of hospital every day.
then again it IS important..........

Hmmm. What a heavy burdon indeed. Imagine that. How much of ourselves do we sacrifice for the greater good? I wonder what exactly is involved. I wonder if 'further testing' was explained to the individual and upon realizing what it entailed, declined to go through with it. Curious. Bully for him that he has what it took to overcome it.

The other thing that's odd about this is that this happened over 2 years ago according to the article, but has only just become big news. Does anyone know why?

@PinkPanda
While the Bear would LOVE to go into hibernation, he has, in fact, not. I just had a very busy week last week and then a visit from Ms. Bear at the weekend, both of which meant the blog had to go on the back burner. Sorry.
@Twiglets
Yes, quite. I have no idea why, but I wondered that too when I read the article.

@Lindy
Yes, as you say, it's quite possible that the "testing" involved would be more than one could reasonably be expected to endure. I have no idea. But then, if that's the case, fine, but don't go around saying things like "I'd do anything it took to help find a cure" if in fact that's not the case, right?

True. It does cast him in an insincere light. Better to be quiet about it if you aren't interested in shouldering the cure for a world wide killer disease.
