I'd say the sparrow murderer ought to be in quite a bit of trouble simply because his motive for shooting it was pathetic and wasteful. But that's just the opinion of another 'I scoot spiders out the door' extremeist. What kind of idiot... I mean, what are the odds that the same sparrow is going to present that problem a second time? Clearly he killed that bird because he was angry. I'd say he deserves to be in a great deal of trouble because it's indicative of his backwards decision making skills. This guy gets to tote a rifle?Goodness, I could go on and on about this one. Ticks me off. I'd like to throw him up in the air and practice my shot... see how he likes it.
Not a lot of pity for the man who lost his house. If he'd employed a modicum of common sense, he'd have removed the sheets and hung them somewhere. Turning on a hair dryer and leaving it... yeah, that will definitely get you the numbskull of the year award. He's lucky he isn't showing up on the Darwin awards.

You may think me a monster but, dammit, I probably would have shot the thing too.
Kudos to the dude for being able to hit a sparrow with a rifle on a moments whim.. that is pretty impressive.

@jay
Yes, I think it's safe to say that in this case I would think you a monster.
@lindy
Though it clearly didn't rile me as much as it appears to have riled you, I largely agree with you on the sparrow thing. As for the man with the bladder problem, as I understand it, the fire dept were able to put out the blaze, so he didn't lose his whole house, though I imagine there was quite a bit of damage. What gets me is this: was he just planning to DRY his sheets? Didn't he think that maybe they could use a WASH too? Yuk yuk yuk.
