The reason why the first letter is in good English is because the letter was professionally written by someone other than the actual scammer. If you replied back under a false identity, pretty soon the respondent will be reverting to CAPS LOCK ON CONVERSATION and getting their English horribly muddled.

Haha, you get these too, eh? I've been receiving the ones that link to factual events for some time now. My favorite one to date was from someone who went onto my high school related site and spammed me using the name of a deceased classmate. Niiiiiiice...
