The Capital Letter - by BerlinBear

Oh! I love the snow pictures!! It's only been raining here, and it's not nearly as lovely.

Gravatar I'm happy with the pictures - post more! I love snow, too - same reason as you, more or less, except that I grew up in Hawkes Bay.

Here it snowed a week ago (more or less) and was REALLY WINDY, so much so that at work a Canadian teacher was saying, "YES! This qualifies as a blizzard!" Students were making snowmen out in the quad, and having snow fights, and it was SPECTACULAR. Trains were also running late and I think every university in the Kansai area cancelled classes, except mine, of course.

It was WONDERFUL. I had the classroom with the ugliest view on campus, I think, but even that looked pretty good.

To our great disappointment, in the afternoon it stopped snowing, the sun came out, and by evening all the snow was gone. I'm waiting for it to happen again, preferably on New Year's Eve when we'll be visiting the local shrine near the MIL's place (red shrines look great in the snow), but I'm not hopeful. It doesn't snow much around here.

Gravatar Your pictures have turned out quite nicely! I miss the snow too. You won't hear me complaining.

Why, thank you.
