The Capital Letter - by BerlinBear

Gravatar The second half was alright. And I was happy for Klinsi, because he can now go and tell Bild to shove their campaign against him up their arse.

The fickle fans were great, from booing to wild celebration in the space of about thirty minutes.

Gravatar Couldn't agree more. And I was seriously amused that the fans went from booing and whistling at half time to singing "Oh, wie ist das schön" in the space of one goal 45 secs into the second half. Silly buggers.

Gravatar I couldn't let a Germany vs U.S. post go by without a comment...

While I wasn't able to get out of my normal work schedule to watch the game (yes, it was actually shown here in the US live on cable), I was able to find a live video feed online. We had the game on, streaming via the internet on a Chineese station (CCTV5), which was showing the German broadcast.

What made this whole thing complete was that we had both a Chineese scientist and a visiting Tschoerman student in the room watching the game.

Wahnsinn...

(oh, and at the risk of sounding like a whiny fanboy, the US wasn't playing with all of their regulars. Whether or not it would have helped, I can't say. I promise, I'm not bitter)

Gravatar Omigosh! I just worked out who you are PiwoJasne! Woohoo! And welcome.

Gravatar Glad I could lurk about for a bit. Does this mean that I have to behave myself now?
