The Capital Letter - by BerlinBear

Gravatar Hurrah! The tradition continues. NZ, the world capital of odd news stories.

Gravatar The real reason she had to give up her second job was that she hadn't asked permission for her uniform to perform double duty.

Gravatar My 2 cents:

If it is not illegal in NZ to be a prostitute, then I don't see that it would be "inappropriate and incompatible with policing". Otherwise where would they draw the line? I see a rather grey area here. Is stripping OK? How about Photographic modelling for say, Penthouse? Or topless modelling... Where do you say yes that is appropriate?

I say carry on love, you're doing a "bang-up" job

Gravatar Hey - you're back! I'd have thought that all the goings-on in the Tour would have been sure to bring you out of your hole.

Gravatar Thank you all for the warm welcome back. How nice to see that you are all still stopping by despite my protracted silence.
@ BiB: Yup, we're an odd lot.
@ Rhonie: Ha! I bet.
@Agro: Yeah, that's pretty much what I was getting at too. It seems kinda like they haven't got over prostitution being legalised yet and haven't got their moralizing stance up to date.
@Twiglets: actually, watching the Tour de France (in person and on TV) was one of the many reasons for my prolonged absence.

Gravatar Hey, you. Nice to see you're still kicking around. Hilarious post. I too am curious as to how it came to light. I smell an even better story. :D

Gravatar There's a corkingly good new one up on the BBC website about a cross-dressing Kiwi judge. I think your next post is ready and waiting...

Gravatar At least when the police screw you in New Zealand, you know you're getting your money's worth.

Welcome back!

Gravatar That's kind of funny. I've often thought of moonlighting as a prostitute, but - not too many women go out shopping for men. Oh, and I don't think my CO would appreciate it very much - because it is illegal here. And then there's my wife...

Maybe I should moonlight at McDonalds instead.

Gravatar And should WINZ put clients forward for jobs as prostitutes? Can't imagine it being very palatable politically.

Gravatar that is funny!

Gravatar Wonderful. Hats off to the Mighty Berlin Bear for digging up these stories.

Gravatar So, if its legal, then how is it 'incompatable with policing?'

Policeman are supposed to uphold the law.
