That last comment was as uninformed and ignorant as the divorce the first couple has been subjected to, your stories were funny until that point, but with that last comment I can now only believe that the stories were meant to be racially motivated.
I am catholic, my sister and her children are Muslim, I know a lot about the religion and have great admiration for it, if you were to actually study it you would find it promotes peace. And before any comments appear about suicide bombers can I just point out the first Martyr was actually Jesus Christ. He did not have to die, he knew what was coming and he could have run, but chose to stay. There have been a multitude of Christian martyrs, but we see martyrs as Islamic only, I do not under any circumstances condone what the suicide bombers are doing, but then, I would not have condoned the arming and training of Osama Bin Laden and the Taliban by the U.S and U.K. either, it's easy to ignore our responsibility in this matter, we talk about our people dying but ignore that they have had people dying for the past fifty years, and as nations, both U.K. and U.S. have ignored or gotten involved only when it was beneficial to us. These countries have undergone some true horrors but it is only when we have horrors inflicted on us that we begin to take any notice.
Of course the worst thing is that the people of all of these countries are innocent, and I do include the citizens of U.K. and U.S. In this, none of us are to blame for what is happening, except that we as people were ignorant of the actions of our governments and armies. We all say the price of freedom is eternal vigilance well maybe that means the vigilance of the citizens of a country as to what their governments are getting up to at home and particularly abroad, as actions committed against a foreign nation are guaranteed to be visited back on the people of that government.
The foreign policies of our governments can bring about peace and it can bring about war, and when a government falls out with a country and through refusal to talk bring about a war, how many of them fight and die in this war? How many of them allow their children to fight and die? Only Prince Harry has actually been in a combat zone, that is the only one I’ve heard of, our governments consider us as little more then votes and cannon fodder, perhaps we should be more observant of our governments, demand more of a say and take more responsibility and then maybe, when we have a say and know that it’s our lives on the line when making important decisions, maybe our foreign policy would be fairer and less invasive of other ‘sovereign nations’ who after all have as much right to run their own countries as we do to run our own.
