Gravatar McSharrys had one drink too many methinks......The guy is mad from too much Roscommon.

Van Nis better than Cantona, Sparky.......NUTS I TELL YOU-NUTS!!!

Gravatar well 150 goals in 200 games tells me he's better than cantona and sparky as a striker. notice the word "striker", that's what denis law was and that's what ruud is. nothing more nothing less. now you're comparing them to sparky and eric, but them two weren't out and out strikers. cantona was more of a creative player, whilst hughes was a strong forward who would hold up the ball and allow time for others to move upfield. they both would score goals, but not nearly as many as denis and ruud, who both were 20 or more goals a season players

Gravatar No, actually I was wrong and Johnny Q is right. Obviously Sparky and Eric are strikers, so to say that Ruud is better was purely tongue in cheek. I'm sorry if my comments caused offence.
Johnny, you are, as always, 100% correct!

Gravatar Fair Enough Niall.
Please don't come out with comments until you've checked their veracity with me in future.

Gravatar Nistelrooy is a much better striker then Cantona, law and all the strikers Man Utd ever had !

Gravatar van nistelrooy as an out an out striker was obviously the best. sure, he wasn't al that creative but hell, he put that ball in the back of the net.

Gravatar Nisty? Nisty was a cry baby that couldn't cope under the regime of Sir Alex. That does not make you a teams best striker or a teams best anything. The best striker After Denis Law is Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. There you have a man that scored a lot of goals and that have proven over and over again his loyalty to the club and his influence on the younger players at the club. Ole was a striker when he was at his best. Nisty only lasted for a few years, and even though he scored a lot of goals, he was not the best after Law. Best players, best strikers or whatever, must not be proclaimed just on the basis of how they play their positions. It's how you play your position of course, but one must also take into consideration club loyalty, influence and determination and love for the club. Nisty isn't even half the player for United that Ole Gunnar was and still is.

Gravatar van nistelrooy was utd's best 'box' player since law. sparky was a back-to-goal, unselfish team player and eric was a creative 'second striker' - both legends in their own right (and as a partnership). but for an out-and-out goal poacher there are few players in the history of the world game to match ruud. the accuracy, subtlety and ruthlessness of his finishing are virtually unparalelled. ..have to say eric's still my favourite though (along with bestie)!

Gravatar It's a tough call when you consider the players that have worn the number 9 and 10 shirts. In my all star line up, Id play Eric and Ruud though. For more tales and debate, go to www.manunitedpies.tv

Gravatar Ruud was the greatest "goal scorer". I was unhappy with him and dissapointed in his leaving. Cantona was a leader, an artist, and one of those players who goes down in history as a(or a "the") manchester uniteds greatest. But the bottom line which does matter is---Ruud, as someone else said, "put the ball in the back of the net". And that undeniably matters.

Gravatar rooney is the best stiker. simply amazing

Gravatar The best striker Man U had is Diego Forlan, now in Atletico de Madrid, and listen, is here. regards
