Wow- that's so beautiful that you found your uncle. As an adopted Japanese American, I do sometimes think about locating my birth mother in Japan- I know it wouldn't be hard, since I know her name, and where she lived in Tokyo, but it's not the kind of thing that I preoccupy myself with, except on my birthday.
Anyway, Jei having found you sounds nice. Somtimes we can think that our relationships with certain people are over, but this isn't always so.

JR: well this is the very short version of the story. i left out the more melodramatic parts including my grandfather who was imprisoned in a re-education camp & the aftermath of the reunion. ah, family drama!
you know, my ex was adopted, my sis is adopted and my grandfather on my mum's side is adopted. i never thought much about it until I looked around. makes me wonder how far one looks into his own roots. it'll be an interesting journey to take.
