They've certainly beome a necessary evil these days, but you get used to them. If you're like me, it will become your only phone!
A very amusing story, but also a good illustration of one of the principle advantages of cell phones: avoiding an inconvenience, or rectifying some foul-up.
Joel: it's kinda scary when you think that it is possible to track you with a phone. imagine all those telemarketers!
fashmagslag: I don't know if I could give up the landline. I remember the black out, the only thing that worked was the phone.
Grant: yeah, it's actually becoming indispensible for those quick calls letting people you're on your way, etc...
What an exciting scenario! Is there a Happy End? Have you seen Y in the meantime since you had this ponecalls, or has he run out of power for his cellphone and gone lost - forever :-P
