the sarcasm: 'You got dumped by a stalker? That's gotta hurt. Ouch.'
the honesty: Don't worry about it. You were never rude to someone who imposed on you. I honestly can't think of anyone I know in my life who would have been friendly, at least for the duration he stalked you. I'm pretty nice, but when I was stalked a few years ago by a crazy Japanese chick who didn't 'get' that I'm gay, I told her to 'leave me the hell alone you psycho cunt'.

Seems you've handled it all with grace and aplomb. The fact that you have a twinge in the heart speaks volumes about the kind soul inside.

Hey, don't worry about it, you're on the internet. You could have other stalkers you don't even know about!

I had a Stalker moment once. Meaning, I *was* the Stalker. I loved this guy a lot and one night I wanted to go over and see him, or as I so subtly told him - "I want a hug." Anyhow, he wasn't home and I ended up waiting in front of his apartment building from 9pm - 3am. Needless to say, the building's security guard suggested I go home, but I persisited and waited. Waited until I saw my guy at his apartment window, in his boxers... with another guy! DOH! Being stalked sucks, but being a stalker can be the lowest point of one's life! yikes! man was i desperate!

I am willing to be he keeps a special place in his heart for you always. Or, until you send him to prison.
