Your statistics are misleading, as many stats are. In 2005, 75.1% of the U.S. population was classified as White, 12.3% Black or African-American and 12.5% Hispanic or Latino.
So, if 46.1% of maltreated children are White, that's not good, but the fact that 20.8% of maltreated children are Hispanic or Latino, and considering they constitute only 12.5% of the population, indicates Hispanics and Latinos abuse their children MUCH more frequently than Whites.
If you are going to report the numbers, please report them in a way that presents the entire picture.

Actually, I live in a neighborhood that is predominately hispanic.
My neighbor (white, btw, if it matters) recently watched a guy try to break into his house. The guy?
White.
Now, let me make certain that I say that I do not believe hispanics do not commit crime. I just happen to believe that there are other things that propagate crime that have nothing to do with race.
Then again, hamster, significantly more Hispanic households have children than do white households. So you'd have to factor that in.
Plus, you'd have to factor in environmental stressors owing to poverty, which increase the odds of parental dereliction (I'm speaking strictly as an armchair statician; I'm not a "bleeding heart," I think people are responsible for their own actions), and make apples-to-apples comparisons between the segments of the different racial groups that fall within the same income bracket.
Or, you could simply not quibble over such things when Bethany's basic premise -- that parental neglect/abuse has no racial component whatever -- is pretty much self-evident to any reasonable person.
I lived near the corner of Lindsley and Wayne for about a year and a half, back at the turn of the century. Nothing bad happened.

Nice try at sarcasm. I'm not a geneticist but since you asked, biological racial differences are an indisputable fact. For instance, Blacks have more testosterone (Black women have, on average, more testosterone than Asian men, interestingly enough)and smaller cranial capacity. Numerous medical journals provide solid evidence for the very real "diversity" that exists among the various human races. At any rate, I defer to the wisdom of Dr. James Watson in this matter, and not to you.

Whites make up about 75% of the USA, latino/hispanic/mexican/whatevers make up about 12%. Obviously you do not understand anything about percentages and proportions. On a per-capita basis, hispanics and blacks abuse FAR more children than whites do. The only reason the white numbers are higher than the black and hispanic numbers are because there are FAR MORE WHITES IN THE USA than there are blacks and hispanics. DUH!
If Latinos/Hispanics/Mexicans/Choose your favorite PC term (and blacks) made up anything like 50% or even just 30% of the USA crime violent would be so out of control that even nonsensical bleeding hearts like you could not explain it away.

You cite physical, not moral, differences. Cultural traits are quite simply not transmitted genetically. (Not to worry, you're still God's favorite!) To think that they are is racism of the vilest form.
Now, I'm not about to say there aren't perfectly dire problems with a broad swath of the African American subculture; nor can I in all candor claim to never be really irritated by lower-class Mexicans. But you've failed to offer convincing proof that they commit more crimes than other groups, and it seems you consider white people innately superior. Maybe I'm doing a bit of inferring there, but not much. (The link between cranial capacity and intelligence in hominids is tenuous at best, BTW. Neanderthals had larger brains than we do.)
