Tell him not to worry, because he clearly has skills and someone will snatch him up.

That's great that you and Chris make time for just the two of you, so important. I feel so bad about the way Chris was let go, it's not right.
I also think it's great that you're both handling it together. It's good that you can talk about it and support him.
