The media is trying to create an east coast vs. south beef. She was pushing Jeezy buttons. Nas even said he wasn't talking about the South. Did we not learn from the east vs. west beef.
I think that the south is doing a great job with SELLING hip-hop. I go to the University of Illinois and when I go to the bar and see everybody(white,black,asian,whatever they are) doing the motocycle dance to Yung Joc, i sit back like "wow" southern hip-hop is definitly in the house. But there no content behind most of southern rap(with an except few including Jeezy). Most of it is club songs, that's why they have dances behind it. The east, south, west, midwest all do their parts in bring hip-hop to the world. All Nas is saying is that Hip-Hop has lost it's importance. 24 inch rims, ice, and hoes are going to be a part in hip-hop, but is that what it's really about?? Ask youself...
