Here's another.
James McMurtry, We can't make it here anymore
"There's a Vietnam Vet with a cardboard sign
Sitting there by the left turn line
One leg missing and both hands free
No one's paying much mind to him
The VA budget's just stretched too thin
And now there's more coming back from the mideast war
We can't make it here any more"

I'll certainly add that one to the list Wehlia, a favorite. Unlike Mr. Miller, I don't get paid to do this. I will get the next 40, I'll just have to decide how fair to be. Always have Woody Guthrie and Bluegrass to pick from. I just don't want the list to be as scewerd and strained as his.

Well done Fred! How about Loretta Lynn? Some of her songs are quite feminist, for ex: 'The Pill'.

some more ideas, not sure how strict your interpretation of "country" music is:
Todd Snider, "Conservative Christian Right Wing Republican Straight White American Male".
John Prine: "Some Humans Ain't Human", "Your Flag Decal Won't Get You Into Heaven"
and of course STEVE EARLE

Wow, that moron was stretching like hell on about half the songs he labeled as "conservative". So, if you are from a small town, you are conservative. If you are married, you are conservative. If you aren't divorced or planning to get divorced anytime soon, you are conservative. I guess, that makes me conservative according to this wacko. Not to mention that he says that one of the things that makes something conservative is to be skeptical of government. But, I thought if you disagreed with the current government, you were a traitor and a dirty liberal.
Shattered by the Rolling Stones? Please. And then to say that some people interpret the Byrds song Turn, Turn, Turn as an antiwar song is pretty stupid. Was he under a freaking rock in the 70s? Of course, it was "interpreted" as an anti-war song. It was written for that purpose. He left out some lyrics: "A time for war, a time for peace, isn't it time we gave peace a chance?" But, if he had been completely honest and not omitted very important lyrics from a lot of the songs, then he really wouldn't fit into the current conservative mold, now would he?
I could keep going down the list and tear it apart, but that would take too long.

Allman Brothers - Ramblin' Man
http://www.songfacts.com/detail....tail.php?
id=838
"Well my father was a gambler down in Georgia,
He wound up on the wrong end of a gun.
And I was born in the backseat of a Greyhound bus
Rollin' down highway 41"
Not what I would call conservative family values. Also, this website says it is a remake of a Hank Williams song by the same name.

Naw, were you thinking of Saturday Night Special? I'd say it'd have to be something that you've heard on a Country music station before.

Yeah, that's interesting. Imagine, someone from AL advocating less guns. I was thinking of Curtis Lowe by Skynard, and most of what CCR did. Fortunate Son - anti-chicken hawks.
Here's an old one by Toby Keith about a nice Christian mother/wife who goes to a hotel to have an affair all the time.

John Prine - Paradise:
"Then the coal company came with the world's largest shovel
And they tortured the timber and stripped all the land
Well, they dug for their coal till the land was forsaken
Then they wrote it all down as the progress of man."
Steve Earle - F the CC
"Been called a traitor and a patriot
Call me anything you want to but
Just don’t forget your history
Dirty Lenny died so we could all be free"
The Bottle Rockets - Wave that Flag
"Maybe being a rebel ain't no big deal / but if somebody owned your ass, how would you feel?"
Bruce Springsteen - pick your favorite from the Nebraska album
Uncle Tupelo - Coalminers
"I am a coalminer
and I'm sure I wish you well
let's sink this capitalist system
to the darkest pits of hell"

John Prine - Illegal Smile
"...a bowl of oatmeal tried to stare me down: and won. It was twelve o'clock before I realised I was having: no fun.
But fortunatly... I hold the key to escape reality. So you may see me tonight with an illegal smile, it don't cost very, much but it lasts a long while, won't you please tell the man, I didn't kill anyone, I'm just trying to have me some fun."
