I would really like to see the Discovery Channel use this for their next special. I certainly hope the surgeon has a strong enough scalpel and I wonder how much anesthesia is used in a case like that...

No, no, no, it's surgery performed via Rocket. Appendectomies are a snap, except for closing. And the patients tend to bleed out. A lot. The concussive force is also good to clear kidney and gall stones, but pinpointing the effect will take some refinement.
