Obviously, we've been lazy in finding out what was going on behind the scenes at the SBE. To add to the news release, there is rumor that the board passed all text books up for approval EXCEPT for 2 Biology textbooks. Miller's being one of them. I don't know this for sure, but I believe this information is correct. We will have the notes from the meeting soon.

I'm out in Seattle, WA, but I have family in Summerville, SC. We've been having a family reunion in Litchfield for the past several years, and I have witnessed some awful behavior by folks around there. I was sore amazed, at first, over a feller running for lt. gov. down your way, a doctor who said right out loud he didn't "believe" in evolution. He and that Sanford are a matched set. But I feel for you guys. We have similar fuckwits in our state, too, even on the more liberal west side of WA. We need to keep our eyes and our powder dry, and keep blasting away at these degenerates.
