Unfortunately, due to not-throwing-my-remote-through-my-television obligations, I did not watch much of the game either. Just one of those games where you had a feeling the breaks weren't going your way (and they didn't); an ill-timed interception, an inability to convert a key third down, every mishap seemed inevitable. Though possibly just a side effect of rampant pessimism, this feeling has become all-to-common in the past few Irish games.

Here's the bright side: ND faces substantially weaker opponents in the next two weeks, to hit the ground running for USC. Though disappointing that merely 'playing a team tough' is sufficient, not getting blown out by USC would be a victory, and provide much-needed momentum (and hopefully sideline the pessimistic feelings) for a potential bowl win.
