Hello dear Marie! Just returned from Adoration and thought I would drop by You are so right about everything you wrote here. Unfortunately, these young women think they are being sexy (BTW I hate that word) when in fact, they leave nothing to the imagination.
Another classy lady is Audrey Hepburn (I see she is featured in the previous post).
Hugs to you,
Esther |

Easter my dear friend
call me old fashioned (& my niece does )but I cant see how anyone can look nice in a few scraps of material they call an evening dress? The silly thing is they cost these girls a fortune for what they DONT cover!
Give me classy anyday and yes, Audrey Hepburn was indeed a very classy and chic woman .
Lots of love to you my friend

Well, it finally happened to you Marie. You have confused my dear friend Easter with me. Ha ha ha. I can't wait till Easter reads this Just teasing. It's an on going joke with us that lots of people in Hawaii and in the blogosphere seem to get us confused.
Hugs and love to you

I really think there is TOO much TV. With so many women working they are not home to see what their kids are doing or watching on TV. Big brother is here to stay I am afraid. The world is quite different from when we all grew up.

*cleans my glasses* and yes I DO wear glasses LOL! Sorry for the mix up hon. I will watch more carefully next time, I promise LOL heehee!
Terri
big brother doesnt worry me so much. I dont care if I am on a CCTV cam somewhere...But the media war on women DOES concern me and it should concern all. There is too much money in the weight loss industry and those who promote fad diets.
I hope oneday women will come to like WHO they are and then make positive changes to improve their lifestyle. Not because a magazine told them but because they wish too. Thats THE key.
Thanks much for your comments .
Peace and JOY to you both

Yes, indeed, Marie! I'm so with you! We don't purchase certain kinds of magazines simply for the immodesty in them. When we go to grocery stores, etc, and there are scantily clad women parading in front of us in the racks at the check outs, we turn the magazines around. (Yeah, somebody undoubtedly comes right behind us and undoes our good deed, but we can't help that!) We use extra precautions to avoid it on television and the movies, and teach the children, boys and girls that modesty goes hand-in-hand with self respect! Ah, for the days of Grace Kelly and Audrey Hepburn!

I walk past magazines which show girls and women wearing scraps of material called 'bikini's' why bother!
I also dont buy magazines which promote fad diets..such as 'the palm beach diet' or the 'Atkins diet'...I actually DID the Atkins diet and 3 months later was rushed into hospital. It took me over 6 months to recover my energy! DIETS do NOT work! And they can actually be dangerous.
I just hate seeing women being 'used' by the media to make money. I hope ALL women will follow YOUR example Lisa and STOP feeding an industry that exists to make women feel awful about their figures.
Anyway I dont wanna lecture you hon but you get my point I'm sure.
Thanks for your input
Peace to you
Marie

MARIE, oh dear Marie!!!! HUGS AND KISSES TO YOU!
I was here just yesterday and left a "juicy" comment... he he he... a sweet one realy... he he he... but somehow it didn't register. Oh well, this time I am going to watch this screen!!!
This is how my post went....
"HA HA HA... my oh my, Esther is right. I am going to have a ball after reading your comments. HA HA HA... "
And I also went to say... "Marie, oh well, what matters is Esther and Easter love you!!!"
Esther and I were at the pro-life march yesterday and a homeschooling mom had to laugh at us. I hope we didn't confuse her. We had such a wonderful meeting with Serra Club one time. Their members are senior citizens! I noticed that they had to pause to think which one is which so we would be addressed at that meeting correctly. HA HA HA...

Love you to bits xoxoxoxo
Jackie
I agree..the dress that Jackie Kennedy is wearing is off the shoulder but it has class. Actually she wore many clothes off the shoulder but managed not to reveal too much and always looked stylish. It simply doesnt compare to the Paris Hilton 'let it all hang out' dressing. Also I have noted that the 'retro look' is back.
Thanks for your comments ladies .
Peace, JOY & Love to you both

I attended a meeting the other day where the speaker was addressing college students about to enter the work force. (Yes, I am MUCH, MUCH older that *that*, lol!) After the speaker told the young men how many "points" they would earn with their perspective employers if they wore a tie and shined their shoes, she said this:
"Ladies. I've had just one bit of feedback from employers as far as dressing goes. Don't show "the B's". Wear a turtle neck. Look professional."
They actually had to *spell out* (ok, using euphemisms) that particular female body parts meant to feed infants, should *not* be shown to the general public if one wants to get and keep decent employment!
