Gravatar I can't imagine knitting an afghan. That's definitely a project for crochet.

Gravatar Another ripple to tempt me! Augh! I'm being seduced!

Gravatar Those ripple afghans are so pretty! I looked for the book at a book store and they didn't have it. I hear that there are patterns for knitting and crocheting.

Wow 6 graduating this year. I would say that there should be a celebration. =)

Gravatar LOL, that's so funny! I've decided to crochet the soft waves afghan for both of my DGD's for Christmas AND I got the idea from the No End in Site Ripple Along too. I crocheted long before I learned to knit and a crocheted afghan will be finished much quicker than a knitted one. Good luck on yours!

Gravatar That sounds like a great plan for his afghan - I saw Cascade 220 first and not superwash and was flinching. Guy at college and regular Cascade 220 -not a match made in heaven!

Gravatar Cascade will be perfect!

Gravatar Jen,

I got the Jan Eaton's book also thinking that the needle size would be recommended along with gauge info, but not so. How are you going about deciding which needle to use, etc.
Does this mean the dreaded "S" word, as in swatch!

Gravatar Ooo, a Ripple! I love the Ripple pattern, can't wait to see its progress on your blog! Such a great afghan.

Gravatar I love your petal socks a few posts back. The yarn and stitch pattern compliment each other nicely.

I'm with you -- spring has sprung, and I want to be outside! I have to finish a few home projects first but then I want to be on the bike...Sunday we are doing the Five Boro in NYC and I'm a little nervous as I have only been riding on weekends.
