yeah man, this whole situation is really ridiculous. you know i'm working in a real estate law firm, and sometimes whenever there's a muslim who's buying a home, it all gets held up because his name -- usually a common name -- hits a red flag in the Patriot Act search. Yeah, law requires that you can't buy a house (or do much of anything) if you don't clear the Patriot Act's name search. So many ppl have run into problems b/c of hteir names being on some random list .. and you know they're innocent ppl, having nothing to do with anyhting. it's really ridiculous.

Now their financial controller is an Egyptian gentleman holding American Nationality, who is a very moderate Muslim, not moderate as defined by our Mushy Club, but as defined by Islam. Guess what his name is? Ossama.

i guess we can say alhumdulillah they took out our religions name from his last name .. i mean appearing on screen.. i mean! helllooo?
yusuf islam and hamza yusuf were over here in dubai during ramadan.. and we went to his lecture which was suppose to be about the prophet (pbuh) being a blessingto mankind.. dont remember hearing anything but about his (cats) life... and i mean come on its ramadan.. but before and after his lecture.. their busy showing on this theater size screen in a background his video and concerts with "music" blaring from every angle...
:| not exactly the way i would have liked to spend the last few hours at night durign ramadan..
anyway..
