i liked that movie! and yes, it DID make it beyond the british isles, cuz my sister found it in some fobby 'desi' store and brought it home to watch. awful quality, but hilarious movie!! =)

Yasmine, someone told me it didnt make it outside the UK thass why i was thinkin maybe it wasnt around.. but it's all good.. and yeah definitely hilarious..

oh man that reminds me of when i had already seen devdas, but wanted a copy of my own. so went to a paki store to buy one. the copy they gave me would continue to one point and then start over again and reach that point again and start over.. and it did it like 6 times (yea i was counting) until the cassette ended. oh my gosh.. soo crazy-- such a rip off. i got my money back from them. bah.

hey..I second that..it was a nice movie...the one phrase that still remains in my memory is "Aloo Gobi"!!! Y'know i read a review that said it had Beckham in it...where was he???? Just that wee bit at the begining?? BTW, East is East was good too..anyone seen it?

Well Shadaan, it's a asian made movie, they had to market it somehow, why not show a quickie clip of beckham in the beginnin, slap his name all across the promotion and bam.. instant crowd puller...

As fer East is east.. i'll pass on that one bro.. wasnt my cup of tea as they say.. but BILB was definitely worth it... actually for me it was the kinda movie that can be watched again...

lol weird i actually watched it the same day you did & i hated it
i mean the story line was okay
but it wasnt THAT funny
ppl were sayign how htey were laughing like crazy i might have cracked a smile, plus there was absolutely loads of fitnah and all the stuff about how Muslims were a total no no etc wasnt that just feeding the stuff we already have against us?

I don't think that it feeds stuff against Muslims--It just shows the negative misconceptions about Muslims, and makes it obvious enough that the misconceptions are stupid.
Plus, I liked the movie, and that's a first, so there!!!! it definitely made it the the U.S. (by dubbing of course).
