I am skeptical about this stimulus, to the point where I think anything other than patience will work. He definitely has a lot of people hopeful - which is nice to see, but I'm curious to see how far he will be allowed to go with some things when I know others would have been berated for the same things. I'm just going to wait and see what happens right now.

I totally agree with you about this. I have most certainly appreciated the optimistic hope Obama has generated, but I think it has pulled the wool over a lot of people's eyes. I've seen hundreds of Obama stickers on people's cars... way more than Jesus fish lately. But maybe that has something to do with me living in Seattle.
What you call "almost religious-like faith", I call drinking the kool-aid. They are lost lemmings.
It is really scary.
