Have to say I read those two and thought 'you've been funnier than that, Birdy, old bean' and then had a quick trawl through your early archives to prove it. Check out 'A Matter Of Balance' (June 2004), 'Is It Just Me?' (Aug 2004), 'Recipe for Perfect Prawn Thingie' (Aug 2004) (which I think is my fave so far). I didn't go further than Aug 2004 but I'm sure I would have found more if I had. It can be both instructive and heartening to read back through your own archives, as I found on Friday when I was doing that very thing for the very same reason!
