((((HUGS)))))

Gravatar Toya,
I lost my grandmother 7 years ago to complications due to diabetes. The doctors gave her a week to live but she lived full three weeks longer than expected. The human spirit is an amazing thing. I always tell people that my grandmother had the best death. She died in her home surrounded by family. I actually wrote a personal essay about the experience. Once it gets published I can forward it to you. But the one thing I did was just lay beside her and talk to her. We even joked each day that she was on God's waiting list and so she had another day here on earth.
I am sure your presence, your smile, and the memories shared with her will be what she needs. Be thankful that you will have the time to be with her in her last days. When she does pass celebrate her life, write about her. It will be difficulty at first but you will be able to to keep her spirit alive by recording her actions and her spirits in writing.
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
