It's been a few years since operation spanner.
The thought FGM is so horrible to me. I literally squirm when people mention it and I get the heeby-jeebies. Even now as I type, the top of my head is tingling. That's what happens when I get grossed out. Is that odd?
Hey, Loz, what do you think of male circumcision? Some say we should be equally horrified by it. It's not quite the same thing. I mean, only SOME nerves are destroyed. What do you think? For me, the thought of it actually being done is horrifying, but the thought of it not being done is perhaps just as weird.
Well, there is one genuine medical vasectomy in my family, although I obviously haven't enquired around all the other male relations to see who else might have had the snip or not. But for purely religious grounds based on an old tribal custom to stop boys getting sand under the foreskin, I see no reason to keep doing that. And I would have thought there was still sensation in what's left to make fiddling with it pleasurable.
