You're gonna hate me for saying it, but I'm gonna do it anyways.
One, rap didn't just explode with Run-DMC. It goes back to 1974, when Kool Herc dj'ed his first party. The men shown here are some of the fouding fathers of the genre.
Second, and this is important. YOU ARE A 31 YEAR OLD AUSTRALIAN. As much as you hate it when I get all American, I can be proud that hip hop culture started here. That coupled with the fact it began around the time you where born says alot.
