Oh my gosh, that's great!

Good one. Better than the restaurant joke where bottom 5 of income earners pay none of the bill... Off to geechee to see her joke...

Very nice.

the example has one terrific omission. what if the young student received through her hard work a gpa of 642 ( she is really smart and capable and has the benifits of educated parents etc.). she is only in need of a gpa of 4 to be considered an excellent candidate for success. lets say she keeps another 630 points of her gpa. this will allow her to give 8 points to improve her friends chances for success. nine people benifit. not the least of which is the brilliant (now brilliant and gracious hero of the story). you see money is not like a gpa you can have much more than you need (greed aside) to be secure. besides wwjd?

People with ridiculous amounts of wealth are not the only ones being taxed, and I don't feel comfortable letting you decide how much I 'need' and taking the rest from me. That's just my Republican side talkin' I guess.
