The man is brilliant. I get TownHall.com emailed every day and read his stuff first.
A testament to his brilliance is that I can understand what he's saying about economics. I know that sounds dumb, but I am intellectually-challenged by economics and algebra.
The point - It's one thing to BE brilliant, another, to exercise that brilliance in teaching so a dummy can understand.
P.S. I am not *so* 'intellectually-challenged' that I would *actually* *use* the words, 'intellectually-challenged' unless I was funnin'.

Me too, and he's like 80 years old! And still a genius. Actually Sowell is the only one I read at townhall lately. The other Townhall guys make a lot of sense, but it's usually things I either already know or readily agree with. If someone links another guy there, I'll probably read it, but not just because it's in the email.
Thomas Sowell cuts through to the meat of the argument so well, he is like dental floss for the brain.
It's because of him that I no longer confuse multiculturalism with multiracism. I used to equate the two, and being against different races living together is just wrong. As long as they share the same culture that is! If you don't like the culture in the country you live in, move to the country that suits your culture. Don't try to spread yours to somewhere else.
If I wanted to preserve my Irish or German heritage, the world would be best served if I moved to Ireland or Germany. It would be most harmed if I tried to set up a mini-Ireland in Louisiana.
sorry for the rant Go Sowell!

Mental Floss.
I agree about the TownHall dailies. I always do Krauthammer. God, I love that man. I did read Mona Charen's whine about that woman who killed her five children and had a husband named Rusty. I cannot believe I can't remember her name! yikes.. Might be because I've been over fighting with a jerk on another blog and my brain is fried.... Anyway, ANDREA YATES!... I knew it would come...... I noticed there was nothing in the news about it other than just the news, and that no one was ranting about in the blogs. So, I read her article. It was insipid and I wanted to write hate-email to her for not saying that the real insane person in that sad story is the husband. Why isn't he in jail? The very first second I saw him when the thing hit the news, I knew him for the lowliest of creeps on the human chain. Standing on the rock-solid altar of objective reality, that man drove that woman nuts. Insane.
Oh well. I hate people sometimes. I think I'll go back to that blog and flog that twerp some more.
